The weary Joe (Terence Hill) may be a skilled gunslinger and card player, but he prefers to avoid all kinds of work. One day, as he rides into a small Western town, he encounters his grumpy brother, the "Little One" (Bud Spencer), who is posing as the town sheriff, having previously shot the real owner of the badge. When Joe learns that the nearby Mormon community is being terrorized by a greedy Major, he decides to step in and help them.
