Thomas Middelhoff, former CEO of Bertelsmann and Arcandor, was sentenced to three years in prison in 2014 for embezzlement and tax evasion. The first film documentary by the OMR (Online Marketing Rockstars) platform chronicles the complete rise and fall of the former top executive. Over several years, the OMR film team followed Middelhoff, giving him, his former companions, and even his 90-year-old mother a voice. In the nearly hour-long documentary, they explore the question of what success and million-dollar salaries do to a person and how these factors ultimately contributed to Middelhoff's downfall.
